a Vietnamese couple apply for the health check-up

29/02/2024

On February 29, 2024, a Vietnamese couple, accompanied by their daughter, visited Tainan Sin Lau Hospital for a health check-up. Since her marriage in Taiwan over ten years ago, the daughter has consistently been concerned about her father's health. During this visit to Taiwan, she made special arrangements for her parents to undergo a health check-up.

With the assistance of our hospital staff, who did not speak Chinese or English, all examinations were successfully completed. The results indicated that the wife had elevated blood sugar levels, which caused significant concern for the entire family. In collaboration with the medical team, the doctor prescribed a treatment plan and provided dietary education. The nursing staff carefully instructed the family on how to manage blood sugar levels and perform home blood sugar testing. They also offered the entire family the opportunity to participate in care plan discussions and provided psychological support.

During the health examination, the family members experienced the care and warmth of the medical staff. To express their gratitude, their daughter wrote a letter of appreciation to thank the hospital staff for their assistance.
