FAQ

Q1.Who is our Client

A: The service target of this center is "people with foreign passports and no Taiwan health insurance status."

Q2. For foreigners, how can I arrange an outpatient visit to Sin Lau Hospital

A: For foreigners who have Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI), the appointment can be made through general outpatient registration. For those who do not have NHI, they can still make the appointment through general outpatient registration, or through Sin Lau Hospital's International Medical Service Center.

Q3. For overseas patients, how can I ask for international medical services

A: Overseas patients can send local medical records, summary, examination reports and images by email or airmail to our International Medical Service Center. Once the patient's medical information is received, our staff will be able to contact the appropriate specialists to pre-evaluate the patient's condition. When the patient's case is approved for treatment or medical procedures in our hospital, we will reply to the patient or family and give the information about the medical fees, duration of the hospitalization and length of stay in Taiwan. If above information is accepted by the patient, we will contact the patient for further treatment processes.

Q4. How do first-time visit client register ?

A: Please follow the appointment schedule to check-in counter at the international medical center on the first floor of the basement.

Q5. What is the difference between an international and general outpatient clinic ?

A: The international special outpatient clinic is in charge of a dedicated nurse and provides English services throughout the process. It can assist foreigners who do not understand Taiwan's medical environment and procedures in obtaining convenient medical services.

The general outpatient clinic is similar to the health insurance clinic, and the patient registers and seeks medical treatment by himself. It is more suitable for foreigners who do not have language barriers and who have a better understanding of the medical procedures and environment in Taiwan.

Q6.Does your hospital's international medical service accept insured clients

A: The client must pay first and then ask the insurance company for the payment after taking the hospital's English receipt and medical certificate.
